Our Educational Philosophy
At Flourishing Futures Tutoring, we believe in personalized learning that nurtures each student's unique potential. We help tutees to adopt a growth mindset and we see learning as a journey of self-discovery. We push through and out of comfort zones and encourage a mastery of areas that have previously caused learning strife. All in a space where it is safe and encouraged that you make mistakes as this is how you learn.
Yes, there is course content that needs to be covered but education and deep learning can only take place when a young person feels supported, valued and heard. This approach is front and centre in our small group's DNA!
Our Story
Jayne Wright is the lead tutor on all of the tutoring courses. She has more than 30 years of experience on Senior Leadership Teams in schools, as an Education Adviser, including as a Regional Adviser and as a tutor and teacher. She is a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator, English and Psychology GCSE and A Level teacher, a primary school specialist and qualified Ofsted Inspector.
Jayne has worked in top private schools such as Wycombe Abbey and d'Overbroecks, at prep schools such as Chesham Prep (nursery to year 9) and in bustling state secondary schools with large sixth form cohorts across Buckinghamshire, Hillingdon, Ealing, Windsor & Maidenhead.
Her wide ranging experience and understanding of what drives motivation, along with ways to navigate 'blocks' to learning and a deep appreciation of SEND challenges and superpowers, means that she is able to draw out the potential of every child she encounters.
A mother of two wonderful grown up children who have flown the nest to pursue careers in engineering and to study mechanical engineering at university, she has a 'hands on and in-depth' insight into and understanding of the the education system and the quirks of the 11 plus process. Parents have long valued this insight when making school based decisions.
